Week 2 post-Apple, and I can already anticipate the day when I ask myself why I waited so long to start my own business.
I’m not there yet – I still feel uncertain and nervous at times. But I can see it coming.
Last week I had a booth at a health fair, and I was surprised how many people were counting the months and days to their retirement. But then I realized I had done the same thing — putting my goals and dreams on hold until my relationship was better, the kids were older, I had enough money saved, the economy improved, I felt ready… you get the idea.
We all have a circumstance that we want resolved before we can *really* move forward with our life. But that can be a long wait, and for some the day never comes.
If I have learned anything in this journey, it’s that we are our own biggest obstacle. My fear, masquerading as good judgment and rationality, has held me back. But when I have stepped into my fear, facing it head-on, I have always come out stronger, better, and happier.
What are you waiting for, before you really start living the life you want to live?
